Madam Vice-President
wasn't it refreshing to see and hear Sarah Palin speak on Wed. night? Only trouble is, she should be at the top of the ticket. She seems like a REAL person, with all the joys and yes, the problems that go with it. She seems like someone that I would like for a neighbor.
Did I read that right?
If I read Travis and Sarah's blog correctly, they have not been born yet but we can expect to see them early next year . That is, if they are nearly the same age as the newc omers which we expect in March of next year. Or, am I a nitpicker?

The hurricane blows
Well, it's not really a hurricane, it's a tropical storm but thats about as cl
ose as we will get to the real thing. The chimes outside our door are going wild, but that's about the normal thing around here recently (being wild, that is).
A few weeks ago we might go all day with only one visitor, Now, Amelia must come to see her grand-daddy and grandmom every hour or two. Others come by frequently . It is a delight to see Caitlin and Estella and/or Madeline or Isabella pal up. Amelia is an independent agent and is free as the wind, with no long term commitment to any group or project except decorating the tree house. Gretchen is beginning to warm to me and likes to tease me.
Isnt life wonderful!!
Allyson and Tabitha are both visiting now so we went to the "Wall" today along with their friends Ryan and Chris, and also Caitlin. It was good to see the three sisters together again, if only for a few days. I'm reminded of the thought "like ships passing in the night" as I see the family spreading all over the country.
Let's treasure our time together while we have it- we don't know what tomorrow brings.

The Girls
After a wrong click, lets try again. Generation two:
Carol was first to arrive and claims to be the"favorite". We had a great adventure this past January when we spent three days together in Macon and Atlanta.
Susan and I have had a great time this summer as she has been part-time taxi driver and she is working on the Vietnam Moving Wall. which will be here in October.
Then, there's Nancy! She can coordinate transportation for forty people, get them all to school, Doctor appointments, hospital,Church and any other place people go. I thank God for each of them every day.
Now for the grand daughters: What can I say about them? The four mothers Jennifer,Eileen , Helen and Nikki are FABULOUS. What a delight it has been to see them move on to this part of their lives!
Sarah is in a separate class- moving up in the business world. You Go,Girl!!
Allyson and Tabitha are coming on strong, but I"m anxious to seethat hairy -legged guy she talks so much about
Caitlin is a special grand-daughter; a joy and a delight to all,Caity-Bug
Now-for the Great-grand daughters.Madeline, Isabella,Estella, Amelia , Gretchen and Samantha. Every Grand-Daddy needs a bunch of little girls to warm his heart when they all line up for hugs. What a great life!!!

The Females in My Life
It has been said that, behind any succesful man, there is a female. well, since I am the richest man in Tift County, there are several females ihat I have to credit for my wealth.
First, I have thank my wife ,Hazel who has kept me on the straight and narrow for over 57 years, at least Most of the time

lest there be a misconception
The foregoing statement was entered by an unknown alien who invaded my computer.
What a beautiful Sabbath day! Pres. evanson, the mission pres was in the priesthood class that I taught today . It was a discussion of Pres. Monson's conf talk on Sunday, and of course he added some personal observations ..
after a dinner of lasagna, I'm ready to turn on NASCAR and catch a nap.Adios
